Jeffery A. Garofalo

Mr. Garofalo holds the highest Martindale-Hubbell Preeminent AV Peer Review Rating.  His practice emphasizes business and construction litigation, where he has successfully represented clients in some of the largest complex cases litigated in the Southwest. Mr. Garofalo is on brief in two California appellate decisions addressing contractor licensing issues and contractual indemnity obligations, and he successfully argued in the Nevada Supreme Court to reverse a dismissal of an investor claim arising from improper fund control and embezzlement on a large commercial development. 

Mr. Garofalo has been a guest lecturer to the paralegal program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, speaking on construction defect case management. He is a member of the Clark County Bar Association and serves as an attorney mentor for the State Bar of Nevada’s Transitioning into Practice (TIP) Program.  His volunteer work includes sitting on the National Board of Governors for the Human Rights Campaign for six years, serving as pro-bono counsel for indigent clients through Clark County’s Aids/HIV assistance program, and working as an attorney volunteer for Ya Es Hora, a program that assists legally documented residents with applications for U.S. citizenship. Initially appointed by Governor Jim Gibbons in 2009, he served on the board of directors for Nevada’s Public Employee Benefits Program until 2016.
